Can I try before I buy?
Yes, we encourage trial downloads. You can browse and download the different clock models until you find the clock that you wish to customize.

Are any features disabled in the trial version?
Each clock model has built-in customization options, so you can download and try out as many models as you like.
All features work in the trial version. However, Trial models have a nag screen and the model will be linked to the PromoClock site instead of yours.
Projects cannot be saved in the trial version. To enable distribution, you must decide which model you wish to distribute and then purchase its unlock code.
You can create multiple advertising campaigns for each model that you purchase.

What are the system requirements for installing the PromoClock Customizer software?
The only requirement is Windows® 95 (IE 5 or higher), 98, ME, 2000, XP or Windows NT® 4.0.

Is there a Mac version of the PromoClock Customizer?
Currently, no, but we are planning development of Mac version.

How do I download and/or purchase your program?

Select a PromoClock model and download the free, fully functional Trial Version. This version will include a “nag screen” and will be linked to the PromoClock site.

Try all our customization features and create as many PromoClocks as you wish.

If you decide to purchase that model, click Register in the Help menu of the Customizer.

Complete the registration form. After approval, you’ll receive an email confirming your purchase and providing your Registration Key.

Insert the Registration Key and the model will be free of “nag screens”. The link to our site will disappear and you’ll be able to insert your own links.

I paid for software registration but I don’t have the software. Now what do I do?
Just download the trial version of the model you paid for, then follow the instructions further down this page to enter the Registration key.
You’ll then blow away the nag screen and have the full version of the software

I’d rather buy a CD of your software. Do you offer them?
RegSoft, our e-commerce partner, offers our program on CD-ROM for a few extra dollars. You’ll see details when you click any of our “Order Now” links.

Installing:
How do I install the PromoClock Customizer?
Once you have downloaded the appropriate “setup”, click on it to begin the setup process. Then just follow the instructions, just as you would for any other software program.

How do I uninstall the PromoClock Customizer?
There are two ways to uninstall the Customizer.

Click Start ->Programs->Promo Clock->Uninstall

Follow these instructions for using the Windows Add/Remove feature.
  • Click on Start.
  • Select Settings > Control Panel.
  • Click open the Add/Remove Programs item.
  • In the Currently Installed Programs list, find the PromoClock Customizer software you wish to uninstall.
  • Click on the program, and it will be transferred to blue Change/Remove field.
  • Click on the Change/Remove button, and follow the instructions.

Using our products:
What’s the difference between the Trial version and the Registered version of your product?
Very little is different.
Each clock model has built-in customization options, so you can download and try out as many models as you like.
All features work in the trial version. However, Trial models have a nag screen and the model will be linked to the PromoClock site instead of yours.
Projects cannot be saved in the trial version. To enable distribution, you must decide which model you wish to distribute and then purchase its unlock code.

I purchased Customizer but when I tried to use it with a different clock it didn't work.
PromoClock Customizer allows you to create multiple ad campaigns for each clock model, however, you are only allows to create campaigns for the model that you purchase.
You must purchase each clock model that you wish to customize and distribute.

I added my logo to one clock and it was fine, but when I tried to add it to another clock I got an error message. Why?
Two possible reasons:
  • The size of the logo varies according to the clock model. The process of inserting the logo into different clocks may probably involve resizing the image so it can fit the appropriate space in the clock.
  • When adding a logo doesn't interfere with the design of the clock, we allow you to add your logo or promotional text to the clock face, but this feature is not enabled for every clock. From our experience, some people prefer more subtle advertising, and in any case don't want this feature. Therefore, we also enable customization of clock models that don't allow logos in the clock face.
  • If you wish to add your logo to the clock face, please download a model where it is enabled.

Which color depth should I use for your product?
Our clocks always look great, but they look their best when your display is set to the highest color depth.
Optimally, you should set your display to 16 -bit or higher color depth.

Your program doesn’t run with Windows 3.x. Why not?
Our products are 32 bit programs and require a 32bit version of Windows.

Can I create more than one ad campaign with a clock?
You can reuse the clock model that you purchase for different ad campaigns. Just make sure to save each campaign as its own project.
You can create a new configuration of PromoClock for each campaign, with banners and images that links to special ads on your Web site.
Take advantage of our abundant clock themes to create different clocks for different campaigns.

Can I create more than one alarm?
Yes, you can. We recommend reusing the images and sound files for each alarm, to make the installation file that you distribute more compact.

If I create the alarms, will my customers still be able to use the clock as an alarm clock?
Yes, the alarms that you create for your ad campaign won't inhibit use of the clock in any way for your customers.

Can I use MP3 file as an Alarm?
This version of our program supports only the Wav file sound format. We will add MP3 support in the next version.


REGISTERING

Evaluating the trial version:
I’m using your Trial version. Is there any way I can get rid of those annoying “nag screens” informing me that I’m using a trial version?
The only way to get rid of the “nag screen” and insert your own link into the model is to purchase the PromoClock Customizer and change it from Trial to Registered Version.

What happens when I register the software?
You’ll receive a Registration Code/Key, which will transform your Trial Version of the PromoClock Customizer to a Registered Version (click here to learn about the differences between them). PromoClock.com will also provide you with unlimited prioritized support and free minor updates.

Ordering:
Do you provide secure payment transactions?
YES, all orders are 100% secure and all information you send is electronically encrypted. This process is handled by RegSoft, a bigest e-commerce company in the business of providing secure outsourced e-commerce solutions to software companies.

Can I purchase offline?
YES. You may also phone, FAX, or mail your order to RegSoft. Please note the ordering instructions and choices printed at the top of each purchasing form.

When I purchase, what happens next?
Whether you purchase online, by phone, fax or by mail order, you will receive an order confirmation by email. This order confirmation will include the record of your purchase and also a Registration Key to transform your PromoClock from a Trial Version to a Registered Version.

What if I do not receive my confirmation email?
In most cases, the confirmation email containing your Registration Key is sent out within several minutes of successful authorization. Rarely, this email has been delayed, usually due to a mistyped email address (remember to check the spelling of your address!!).
At the end of the order placement process you will be presented with a confirmation screen displaying a tracking number and an order number. If you do not receive your confirmation e-mail within 24 hours, please contact RegSoft at sales@RegSoft.com and provide your name, Tracking ID and the approximate date and time of your order to obtain your order status.
They will generally re-send the email in a few hours.

I would like a refund. What do I do?
To avoid customer dissatisfaction, we offer free Trial Versions of our products available on this site. We suggest you first download a Trial Version and test all the features and functions that are important to you. Please be sure that these features work and you are happy with the product. You are legally entitled to try our software for an unlimited period.

Why don’t you offer a 30-day money back guarantee like some other companies?
We do not offer money back guarantee because we offer unrestricted Trial Versions of our software on this site. Companies that give 30-day guarantees usually don’t offer trial versions. We go by the “try-before-you-buy” business model, because we believe it offers you the best opportunity to see whether you want our product. Of course we will do everything we can to make you happy.

How do I enter the registration code/key?
To enter the registration key in your software:
  • Run PromoClock Customizer
  • In the Help menu press Register. The Add New Key window will open.
  • Copy the long alphanumeric string (called the Registration Key) from your confirmation email into the Add New Key field and press ADD. The clock ’s status will be changed from Trial to Registered.
In the purchase form you provided us with a URL to your web site or other page. Now this link has been inserted into your PromoClock, and you can kiss that old “nag screen” good-bye!

I did that but those nag screens won’t go away. Now what?
This happens very rarely. If you followed our instructions, try them again. However, keep these tips in mind:

Don’t try to type in your registration key — it’s very long — COPY it from the RegSoft email and PASTE it into the Add New Key window.

Ensure that all of the string (it may be two lines long) was copied and pasted.

This usually solves this very rare problem.
Remember: You need to cut and paste the code, NOT retype it. Retyping can cause errors.

What if my hard drive crashes and I can’t find my registration code/key?
Please keep the print copy of your Registration Key in a safe place. However, if you should lose it, don’t worry. Just contact us at sales@promoclock.com and explain what happened, and we’ll retrieve the necessary information and send it to you.

How is support available for PromoClock Customizer?
Click on the Support link in the right up corner of every page on our site or on the Support button in the Help ->About screen of the Customizer. This will take you to our support section. Please begin by reviewing all the online help documents in our support area. If your question is not answered, then try the following:
For Trial Version support, please send email to: trial@promoclock.com
For Registered Version support, request support by filling in our Support Form.

How long should I expect to wait for a response?
For Registered Version support: We will respond within 48hours, and in 99% of the cases within 24 hours.
For Trial Version support: We will definitely respond as soon as possible, but our Registered customers receive top priority.

I am using the Trial version. Can I e-mail my questions to your support team?
Yes. Although we try to service our registered customers first, we will try to answer your question as soon as possible. Please check our support area and our FAQ before emailing us. It may be that your question has already been answered.

What is trialware, or a Trial Version?
When software is marketed through normal retail methods, you must pay for the product before you’ve even seen it. The Trialware marketing method lets you try a program (the Trial Version) before you put out your cash. Having tried the program, you’ll know whether it will satisfy your needs — before you pay for it! A Trialware program is just like a program you find in major stores, catalogs, and other software retail outlets. The difference is Trialware lets you take the software for an extended test drive before signing on the dotted line.
