When I set the strike mode I get either 3 strikes on every hour or a number of strikes greater than the hour.
It could be that you selected a strike sound that has a triple-sound, such as a bird chirping tweet-tweet-tweet. Therefore, if the clock is set to strike once on the hour, you'll hear that triple sound once at the top of each hour.
Again, if you've chosen a strike sound like the one mentioned above, and you checked the box for Repeat Strike According to the Number of Hours, then you'll hear that sound each hour times the number of the hour. For instance, at 3:00 you'll hear tweet-tweet-tweet 3 times, which may sound like 9 tweets altogether.
If you find this displeasing or confusing, simply select a different sound from the Set Strikes menu.
If you don't like any of the strike sounds available, you can download additional ones from the PromoClock.com site. |

I have a problem with Time Zone Values. Your PromoClock takes its time zone values directly from the Windows registry.
In some Windows 95/98/NT versions time zone records are incomplete or incorrect, especially Daylight Savings (DST) start and end times.
As a result, our clock may show a wrong time for such time zones. Of course if your current time zone information is incorrect, the times in all other time zones will be off as well.
The Time Zone Editor for Windows can be used to fix this problem.
Time Zone Editor is a small program developed by Microsoft that can be used to create and edit time zone entries in the Date/Time settings.

Is it possible to put a working clock on a web site? Our clock software is Windows-based, so it cannot be placed on a web site. |

When I use another software program, my PromoClock is hidden behind it. In the clocks right-click menu, select Settings and check the Always on top option.
The clock will never be hidden behind other applications.
Suggestion for hiding clock deliberately while maintaining access to it:
In the Settings dialog box, check Show icon in system tray. Then choose Hide in the right-click menu. Now the clock is hidden, but a clock icon appears in the system tray for easy access. All your alarms and reminders will still function.
Since our clock doesnt replace the Windows system clock, youll still be able to see the time on the Windows clock while using our alarms and reminders. |
